Econnect Microsoft Dynamics Gp Integrations Overview

Writen by Andrew Karasev

Microsoft Dynamics GP, also often referred as Microsoft Great Plains or Great Plains Dynamics may be considered as very good ERP platform, ready for custom logic and integrations with legacy systems. eConnect is one of the tools of choice to be deployed in the case of creating and moving objects to Microsoft Dynamics GP.

• Master Records. Accounts, Customers, Vendors, Employees are typical master records. eConnect can create, update and remove these records. eConnect methods first try to validate business logic, so eConnect should be preferred over direct SQL scripting (trying to add or change records directly in Microsoft Dynamics SQL tables)

• Transactions. eConnect also allows you to create or modify so-called work transactions. However eConnect doesn't typically go beyond work transactions, so-called open or historical transactions should be created through Microsoft Dynamics GP posting, moving to history, voiding, etc. routines and this requires MS Dynamics GP operation intervention

• Beyond eConnect. There are multiple options for you to deploy Microsoft Dexterity to automate such processes as posting. Imagine, you are moving daily eCommerce sales from your third party e-Commerce system to Great Plains and want them to be posted automatically. In this case you can deploy eConnect to bring work Sales Invoices and Payments and then you deploy Microsoft Dexterity Posting server to trigger posting all the way to the General Ledger

How To Find Adware Removal That Is Really Free And Avoid The Pitfalls

Writen by Jason Frovich

Really free adware removal programs can sometimes seem hard to find. You click on a link that promise really free adware removal programs, but end up on a site with programs that eventually turn out to have a lot of strings attached. You might only be able to try out the really free adware removal program for a very short time, such as a few days, before you must purchase an expensive version of the program. A few days is usually not enough to find if you are comfortable with you Adware removal program or not. Another disadvantage with this system is that when you purchase an expensive Adware removal program, you will most likely stick to that program even if the program becomes out-dated or a better program is offered on the market. In other cases, you can use the really free adware removal program for as long as you wish, but it turns out to be so basic that it offers very little protection from Adware. You are then encouraged to buy a better, but pricey, version of the program. Sometimes it is actually a really great free adware removal program that you are offered, but the updates cost quite a lot of money. Since all Adware removal programs need to be updated frequently to stay modern, this can turn out to be very costly in the end.

There are however examples of really free adware removal programs that are available for download online, but you might have to spend some time looking for them. Really free adware removal programs are seldom available off-line, since it would be too expensive to distribute them. Be vigilant when you choose a website from which to download a really free adware removal program, since there are a lot of dishonest sites offering fake adware removal programs. When more and more computer users began to protect their computers from adware with adware removal programs, the deceitful companies that gain from the Adware programs developed their own fake really free adware removal programs.

These fake programs are promoted vigorously on the Internet, and many computer users are lured into installing what they think is a protective. If you spend some time online, you will probably sooner or later stumble over a banner add that warns you about the dangers of Adware, or claim that your computer is already infested with Adware. You will be offered a great really free adware removal program, and if click on the banner your will be sent to a website. From this website you can download something that looks like a very good and really free adware removal program, but it is actually a fake. Your computer will not be protected from Adware when you use this fake adware removal program, and the fake adware removal program will probably also install Adware, Spyware and other types of Malware in your computer. You can minimize the risk of downloading a fake adware removal program by only downloading really free adware removal programs from trustworthy web pages with a good reputation.

New forms of malicious Spyware and Adware are constantly created and in order to protect your computer from infestations you must choose a high-quality program and keep it updated. Supportcave.com offer a selected number of the very best really free adware removal programs available for immediate online download.

Business Accounting 7 Steps To The Best Software Solution

Writen by Javier Fuller

It is important to know in business where money is coming in and where it is going out. As such, accounting is one of the most vital processes in any business. It is even more important than developing products and selling. The management of the flow of revenues and expenditures is what ultimately makes a business fail or succeed.

Accounting is simply called the language of business. The requirements of every business may vary, but the general requirements of a business like collecting, classifying, reporting and analyzing of financial data is what constitutes the crux of accounting.

An enterprising businessman always looks for opportunities to make accounting simple. Without proper accounting process, your prospering business can take an unexpected nosedive towards bankruptcy. That is where the importance of accounting lies. Accounting is a critical component of a prospering business. It plays a role in every financial decision you make, like that of purchasing machineries and vehicles, equipment and supplies, to increasing production, selecting inventory quantity etc. But if you lack any extensive background in accounting, where do you begin?

Hiring an accountant is an option. But the best bet would be to invest in accounting software which aids you to save money and time as well. Maintaining accounts is challenging task. You may find it difficult and daunting to select the perfect software with so many options before you. However, remembering some criteria will help you in your endeavor. The following are the different aspects that you should keep in mind before purchasing any accounting software.

1. The first thing to take note of is your budget. That is, how much you are willing to pay for the software. Your software should be able to compliment your business, rather being a liability. Generally the more features the software supports, the more is the cost of it. Certainly, you do not need all the features available in the market. So according to your accounting needs pick a decent accounting software at reasonable price

2. Secondly, look for a software which is user-friendly and is easy to use. It should be compatible with your existing system, so that as you can cut on time in training your staff.

3. Scalability is another thing which you should keep in your mind before buying a software. It is particularly important for a growing business. You should choose a software imagining where your business would in future. A good accounting software should be able to grow as your business grows. It is always better to invest in a slightly costly accounting software that can compliment your business in future also.

4. Fourthly, you should be open to take in to account the views from different quarters, mostly from accountants. The views of accountants are important as they live and breath among this stuff. They are particular about the different business needs and their peculiar features requirement. You can only ignore their views at your own peril.

5. It is also important that your accounting software have all the features you need. It must have all the modules and reporting categories necessary for your business. Accounts payable and accounts receivable are some of the general modules an accounting software must have. Most of the accounting software come in different versions. You should look for a software which provides future versions also to match your future needs.

6. Value for money is the sixth aspect which you should keep in mind before buying. Selecting the right package means that you can get the best value. For the same lines of products, prices vary greatly. So just shop around. You can also purchase the product cheaply from online merchants such as Amazon or eBay.

7. Last but not the least, the manufacturer whose product you buy must provide after sales service. Most of the companies provide support after sales. But you have to think about local support which is more feasible. A perfect after sales support must have a complete FAQ package, a toll-free call center, and local service center.

All in all, the best thing would be to shop around, read some reviews and invest in software with expandable features. Your software must be capable of handling your growth. To sum up, you need to do some meticulous planning before purchasing. This smart decision to invest in a accounting software will save a lot of money and trouble in the future.

Installing Nucleus Onto Your H4p Server

Writen by Martin Wood

In this article I will explain how to download and install the Blog software Nucleus on your server. Nucleus is customisable in every way and you can have different authors using the same blog. I will be installing onto the Host4Profit.com server as this article is aimed at those who use H4P.

Note: If you use a different host company most, if not all the instructions will hold true. Just the terminology will be a bit different.

The only requirements are that you have a free MySQL database on your server and that your server runs PHP4+. If you are installing onto Host4Profit servers then you meet the requirements.

First of all download the software from http://nucleuscms.org/download.php onto your desktop and then unzip it making sure you keep the directory structure.

Next you will need to upload everything onto your server into a directory of your choice. I recommend using the name nucleus as then you will know what the directory is. To upload the files to your server you will need to use a FTP program, your File Manager on your server, or if you use Windows XP its' built in FTP program.

Once all the files are uploaded onto your server you will need to change the permission of the file config.php to 666. To do this, find the file config.php and to the right of the name you will see 3 numbers. Click on that and in the new window, type 666 and enter.

Before we go on you will need to set up a Database. If using Host4Profit it is an easy process. You will have to log into your WEBePanel and then click on the MySQL database icon to get started. Follow the instructions on that page and write down the database name (usually part or all of your domain name) and the password.

Now open a new browser window and type in the address to the install.php in your Nucleus directory like this – http://www.yourdomain.com/nucleus/install.php

You are presented with some information and a set of instructions, one of which is to change the permissions of the config.php to 666. When the installation is complete you will need to change the permissions back to 444.

Next you need to enter some information to set up the MySQL database. Nucleus can normally set this up for you automatically but as we are using Host4Profit, Nucleus has a problem which is why we created the database already. All we have to do is fill in the blanks as so-

In the Hostname box you put - localhost

User Name – the name you wrote down earlier. The default is yourdomain_com with 2 or 3 added depending on how many databases you have used.

Password – The password that you wrote down.

After that when you scroll down the installation page there are a lot of directories and addresses that are already set up for you. The ones you should take note of are the ones that start with http:// as these are the urls that you will use to access the admin section and to read your blog.

Following on from there, you are presented with the Administrator User data. You need to fill this in and remember the user name and password that you use.

Note: The username and password are different to the ones you used to set up the database. These are your admin details.

After that you just need to name your blog and give it a short name. Then click the Install button.

Once you have installed the Nucleus program, you need to do two things.

1. Go into your File Manager and change the permissions to config.php to 444

2. Delete the file install.php

There is a wealth of information about using Nucleus both in the nucleus directory and at the http://nucleuscms.org/ web site. You will also find a support forum, downloadable skins and plugins lot of helpful information.

Bar Code Scanner Software

Writen by Eddie Tobey

Bar codes have specific symbology that is defined in the height and width of the bars as well as the spacing between the bars. Each of these bars might represent numeric data, alphanumeric data or character data, depending on the type of symbology being used.

Each bar code has a start bar and an end bar to allow the scanner to read the data precisely. Some bar codes have another bar before the end bar, known as the checksum bar code. After the scanner calculates the sum, it is verified with the value of the checksum bar code for accuracy. This ensures exact calculation with minimal errors.

Bar codes are read by scanners that are in fact photosensors used to convert the bars in the bar code into electrical signals as it is being scanned. Since the bars are distinguished by their width, height and spacing, they are then measured using software that recognizes and converts electrical signals from the bars into readable characters. The scanner software then transmits this data to the PC terminal. The whole process does not take more than a few seconds.

Bar code scanners are available in a variety of models. A few popular ones are the gun model, countertop model and portable variety. The simplest scanner model is connected to the PC and the keyboard. Software allows the scanner to read the bar code data and input it into the PC with minimal fuss. This is the most commonly used model, although the scanners that can be connected to serial ports or USB wedges are also popular. Since the data read in such cases does not interfere with the keyboard data, the software has complete control over the data flow from the scanner with little or no help manually.

Cordless scanners are also popular. Like cordless phones or cordless keyboards, these connect through radio waves with the base that is connected to the PC. This works similar to regular scanners, except that the data is first transmitted to the base and then sent to the system. These are usually short distance scanners, and they need to be within a specific range of the base to transmit the data accurately. Portable scanners are most useful when the user needs to input data simultaneously along with the scanning. This is especially true in cases when the user needs to go through menus to select the correct option. Almost all portable scanners come with a keyboard that the user can use to select the product.

All these scanners and many other models, such as the wireless ones, charge-coupled scanners, laser models, LED, handheld models, counter scanners, fixed-in-counter scanners and belt scanners, have the ability to store data regardless of the size and shape. The software used in these is basically the same, although a few changes might exist based on their utility. They decode the data in the bar code and store it for future reference.

Novice Security Guide For Windows Users

Writen by Mary Myron

Computer abuse occurs at least once in everyone's life. To some people it might be not of a great importance, but to others it could be fatal. Thus, there are a few basic things you should keep in mind if you leave your machine unprotected.

First of all we are going to consider the most common abuses which can be done to your computer if someone gains physical access to it. Except for viewing and stealing your private data they can get information about the way you use your computer and turn it against you. Let's regard a few possible ways of exploiting your machine.

Just by using the search function it's possible to tell which files you've accessed. Moreover the location, date and exact time of their execution will be provided to the abuser. Your system folders (located in 'Documents and Settings') also contain private information:

  • the 'Temp' folder: it contains programs you've installed and files from archives you've opened;
  • 'Cache' folders: contain pages you've visited, mails you've sent and/or received and so on;
  • 'Bookmarks': they list the URLs you frequently visit;
  • 'Recent Documents': they display files you've last opened;
  • the 'History' folder: it has all sites you've accessed;

Cookies represent a more serious threat due to the fact that they allow the enemy to log in to your account without knowing your password. Thus, it's recommended to clear your cache, cookies and history folders regularly to prevent unwished surprises.

However, as you might know, it is not necessary for someone to use your machine manually, in order to abuse it. Remote access is even more dangerous. There are a million ways to catch Trojans which make it easy for the attacker to see the contents of your hard disk and run your programs. To prevent this, use a firewall and good anti-virus software. Among other threats there are keyloggers. They can send your usernames and passwords to the attacker, as well as other texts you've written (documents, mails etc). There are two other factors which are worth mentioning: spyware and malware. Spyware invades your privacy as well, since it sends lists of sites you visit to databases that monitor your browser's usage and collect statistics without your approval. Malware is meant to infiltrate and damage a computer (regular viruses, worms etc). To protect your computer from spyware, use programs like SpybotS&D or Ad-Aware SE.

Now we are going to learn a few other relevant terms: phishing and spoofing. Phishing combined with spoofing can make a fake mail look genuine and redirect you to sites that look identical to the real site you'd normally expect (most commonly eBay, PayPal etc.), but in fact log your account name and password in the attacker's database for later abuse. You can probably see where this is all going. They can not only steal your account, but also cause damage. Imagine someone stealing your eBay or PayPal account and making transactions on your behalf.

Unfortunately in such cases the sites can't help you since it is your job to secure your username and password and to not give them to anyone. This is why I also recommend having different passwords for each site as to not compromise all of your accounts.

I hope this article showed you that security goes beyond just having a firewall and anti-virus software.

Photoshop Files And Formats

Writen by Shaun Pearce

People often ask me: What image file formats will Photoshop open or save in? What are the advantages/disadvantages?

Photoshop has the capability to open and save many different graphic files. Here are some of the most popular ones.

Note: When you open an image file other than a Photoshop one, that image will default to the background layer.

.psd, .pdd, .eps
Photoshop File. This format preserves the information in all the layers. If you're going to continue working with a picture, this is the best format to use. File size can be quite large, however. Note: It is advisable to save your work in the most up to date Photoshop format available. For example: if you have Photoshop CS and are sent a Photoshop 7 file, you should save it as a Photoshop CS file to preserve any elements that may not be supported by Photoshop 7.

.jpg, .jpeg .jpe
This format compresses the images, so that information (details and colour subtleties) are lost. You can choose how much you want to compress the image. Good format for use on the web. Small file sizes. Millions of colours.

tif, .tiff
Common in use with early scanners. Will produce high quality images, but very large files. Not for use on the web.

.gif
Pronounced both "Gif" and "Jif", this file is one of the most popular for web graphics as it loads quickly. 8 bit format (256 colours max.). It has possibilities for transparent colour and animation.

.png
New format for use on the web that is intended to replace both gif and jpeg. Compressed, millions of colours, transparencies. It compress in a different way than jpeg, and has advanced possibilities, such as alpha channel (opaque or partly transparent colours). The only trouble is: Internet Explorer doesn't support these! In 8 bit (256 colours) mode it compresses better than gif.

.bmp
Windows bitmapped image. Used by Microsoft Windows applications. Good quality, large file size. Not for use on the web.

.wmf
Windows MetaFile. Useful for clipart, and can be used to make large area, small sized background files.

.pcx
Older general purpose format. Practically obsolete now. Not for use on the web.

.psp
Internal format for Paint Shop Pro, useful if you want to swap files between these two applications.

.pcd
Kodak PhotoCD format, used with Photo Developing - although most photo processors will save your photos as jpegs if you ask them to.

.pdf
Portable Document File. Adobe's file system that allows electronic cross platform sharing of documents.

So what's the best format for web graphics: gif or jpeg?

The general rule of thumb is to use gifs for diagrams, line drawings, illustrations, and images that contain large areas of flat colour, and jpegs for photographs and images with continuous colour tones. The jpeg format has a very good compression rate, but compression reduces the quality of the image, so it's best to experiment with the tools in Image Ready until you have the optimal quality/file size. The gif format, on the other hand, has a smaller file size - but a limited range of colours.

Making The Business Case For Openoffice

Writen by Jason Leister

If you have been using a computer for very long, you are well aware of Microsoft Office's big stranglehold on business productivity software.

After all, what kind of communication, mailing or other business document ISN'T created by typing in Microsoft Word, adding and subtracting in Microsoft Excel or publishing a presentation in Powerpoint?

Microsoft Office has become the de facto standard in office productivity software (except for some places in the legal profession, where Corel's Word Perfect is still considered standard) all across the world. Most businesses would come to a screeching halt if their copy of MS Office were to disappear from their machine.

While a business owner can be extremely productive with MS Office, that productivity does come at a price. Right now, that price is hovering around $370.00 for ONE copy of Office. Not bad if you are a solo entrepreneur, but what if you have 10-50 employees? $370.00 here and there and pretty soon you're talking some real money...

There is a new player on the scene now and it's called OpenOffice.org. It is a spinoff from software originally written by Sun Microsystems and is designed to be a replacement for MS Office (Word, Excel and Powerpoint).

What's the difference between MS Office and Open Office?

Well, one costs $370.00 and one costs $0.00.

Can you guess which is which?

One of the two releases upgrades every few years and charges you full price for them. The other also releases upgrades every few years and gives them away.

Which one sounds better to you?

If you are a business owner responsible for outfitting 5-10 or 20 computers with productivity software for wordprocessing and spreadsheet work, you can't afford NOT to take a look at OpenOffice.org for your business.

Apart from the price benefit, here are some other huge benefits to using Open Office:

  • PDFs are a cinch. Right now, MS Office can't turn your documents into PDFs without the help of third party software. Perhaps the next upgrade (and YOUR next $370.00) will provide this functionality, but right now you're out of luck. In Open Office, creating a PDF is as simple as clicking one button.
  • Your data will NEVER be locked or rendered obsolete, waiting for you to purchase the next upgrade to software you've already paid for once.
  • Open Office is available for EVERY type of computer and operating system under the sun. It comes in flavors for Windows, Linux, Mac and a whole lot more...
  • Open Office is OPEN. That means it is customizable by you for you. If you run a business and need a certain function to be added, it is as simple as hiring a programmer and telling them what you want changed. The whole thing is under your control.
  • Open Office isn't going anywhere. Backed by a community of thousands upon thousands of users and developers, Open Office is quickly becoming THE standard outside of the US, where Microsoft's marketing department seems to dominate the airwaves.

So what if you own a Mac? How do you get your hands on a copy of Open Office? Open Office is available for you in a slightly different flavor called NeoOffice. You can download it here:

http://www.neooffice.org

And now, the answer to the big question you are probably asking...

Can I open Word documents and Excel spreadsheets with Open Office?

YES YOU CAN! With all but a very few exceptions, all versions of MS Word and Excel and Powerpoint documents will open without incident in Open Office. If you are in a highly specialized industry and use a lot of Word macros and advanced layout features, just do a quick test. Most likely, things will be fine...

So where do you get Openoffice.org?

The name says it all...

Free Software How Not To Get More Than You Bargained For

Writen by William Riopelle

I completed an experiment recently. I wanted to find out exactly what software I could get free on the Internet. My main focus was for software to include utilities and useful home business applications.

I completed various searches for free software and related keywords on the leading search engines.

What I found were thousands of web sites, proclaiming for you to be able to download software for free. Or at least a "try before you buy" basis.

What I found was stunning.

It seems once I downloaded a few of these free programs, my focus quickly changed from what I could get free to "How do I rid myself of the new problems that came with those free programs."

WELCOME TO THE SPYWARE AGE!

Once I downloaded some of these free programs. I noticed strange things happening to my computer. Pop-up windows were appearing out of nowhere. My browser was running slower than usual. And applications seemed to open and close a little slower than usual.

Now when I would go to google to do a simple search, a popup window appeared advertising free minutes when I switch to Verizon Mobile.

WERE THESE SCUMWARE SITES?

Keep in mind that most of these places that I went to download free software programs were reputable, relatively safe places on the Internet. I say "safe" because they were not your typical borderline porn site or trashy site. You know, the kind of site where you would expect to be punished for visiting. A site where it's obvious that your computer will be inundated with spyware or a virus. Well, you get the picture.

I WAS A VICTIM

Even though I was careful about what I downloaded, I still got burned.

I tried to only visit what looked like safe, reputable sites. I only downloaded programs that had legitimate reviews and a past user history. However, by the third free program that I downloaded, there were pop-up windows and programs automatically installing onto my computer. Some of them were from trashy sites.

This resulted in me having to spend several hours scouring the Internet for Adware and Spyware removal programs. I managed to download several free spyware programs. I installed them onto my computer, and ran them in safe mode.

When it was all said and done. I had spent four and a half hours using these spyware programs to scour my computer for spyware. It took me a half a day to finally rid myself of these pesky little programs.

The purpose of this article is to help you from making this same mistake. Please exercise caution when you go to sites and begin downloading free software.

Is the site reputable? Can you uninstall the program easily?

I would suggest deciding if you really need a program before you download freeware or free software. Not all of them threaten your "computer well-being." But many do.

It's kind of sad to have to think in those terms. However, in this day and age one can never be too careful.

Web Based Cmms

Writen by Jennifer Bailey

CMMS is short for Computerized Maintenance Management System. Web based CMMS software programs help public and private organizations manage their maintenance from any location, by logging onto the Internet. Most of them provide features such as work orders, tracking and controlling of inventory, maintenance histories, costs and schedules of maintenance by the hour.

A web based CMMS uses a web browser to access the program. A true web based CMMS system does not require any third party or download program. The program is designed to operate from a central server and the database itself, from another. The more powerful systems require specialized hardware and software to function.

A web based CMMS offers the end user many benefits. Low cost, easy to maintain client and server components, and a user-friendly web browser are the salient features of a web based CMMS. It also offers remote system access with open architecture and interfaces. A very important feature is the web browser itself. They include copy and paste features along with e-mail and help systems. Security and history settings are also available.

A wide array of industries have switched over to using web based CMMS programs. Companies have been able to find new ways to deliver applications across their networks in a more efficient and cost effective manner. Web based CMMS can streamline software delivery and offers a centralized data repository for accessing and analyzing real time data. The cost savings involved are enormous and hence justify the initial investment in the package.

Forex Trading Software

Writen by Josh Riverside

Dynamic is the most suitable word to describe the forex market. Software that deals with forex trading should also stand up to the level of quality it demands.

In the market there are two types of Forex trading software available: 'Web-based software' and 'desktop software'. Choosing one of them depends primarily on security and also on your Internet connection speed.

Looking from the point of view of security concerns, web-based software is considered better than desktop software. This is because with desktop software, all of the data is stored on the hard disk making it very vulnerable in case the computer becomes infected with a virus or if there is a hard disk failure.

However, to overcome these shortcomings, there are computers specially made to carry out forex trading, keeping beginners in mind. This is a wise investment. Even if one cannot afford such a computer, a few upgrades can be added to one's personal computer, like passport protection of your trading software, proper backup of trading and personal data, an anti-virus program and regular revisions of the trading software.

With Web-based software these problems can be averted, as these are hosted on protected services, thus providing protection in cases of security issues. Microsoft Crm Customization Integration With Third Party Sql Applicationdatabase

Writen by Andrew Karasev

Microsoft CRM – Client Relationship Management package from Microsoft Business Solutions was initially designed to be customizable with Microsoft Visual Studio.Net and one of its programming languages – C#.Net or VB.Net. You can use ADO.Net, Web Service, Transact SQL scripting and stored procedures, deploy such SQL Server tools as Linked Server to all ODBC/OLEDB compliant database, including ORACLE, Sybase, Ingress, DB2, Unidata, Pervasive SQL, Ctree and even Lotus Notes/Domino.

In this small article we would like to give you the clue on programming the integration with SQL third party Database.

First – use Microsoft CRM SDK to initiate communication with Microsoft CRM, we have it in C#:

String[] arr1 = coll.AllKeys;

int loop1, loop2;

for (loop1 = 0; loop1 0?1:arr1.Length); loop1++)

{

String[] arr2 = coll.GetValues(arr1[loop1]);

for (loop2 = 0; loop2 <>

{

strAccountId = arr2[loop2].Replace("}",null);

strAccountId = strAccountId.Replace("{",null);

}

}

if (Page.IsPostBack==false)

{

// Server should be set with the name of the platform Web server

string Server = ConfigurationSettings.AppSettings["ServerName"];

// VirtualDirectory should be set with the name of the Microsoft

// CRM Virtual Directory on the platform Web server

string VirtualDirectory = "mscrmservices";

string strDir = "http://" + Server + "/" + VirtualDirectory + "/";

// BizUser proxy object

Microsoft.CRM.Proxy.BizUser oBizUser = new Microsoft.CRM.Proxy.BizUser ();

oBizUser.Credentials = System.Net.CredentialCache.DefaultCredentials;

oBizUser.Url = strDir + "BizUser.srf";

// CRMAccount proxy object

Microsoft.CRM.Proxy.CRMAccount account = new Microsoft.CRM.Proxy.CRMAccount ();

account.Credentials = System.Net.CredentialCache.DefaultCredentials;

account.Url = strDir + "CRMAccount.srf";

Then you use ADO.Net for calling stored procedure with parameters to do the integration job:

try

{

string SQLStatement="ICS_UpdateAccountPrivate '"+

strAccountId +"' , '" + this.TextBoxWorkPerformed.Text +

"' , "+doubleEncode(System.Double.Parse(this.TextBoxAnnualRevenue.Text))+" , "+

intEncode(System.Int32.Parse(this.TextBoxNumberOfEmployees.Text.Replace(",","")))+" , "+

doubleEncode(System.Double.Parse(this.TextBoxAverageGrowthRate.Text))+" , "+

"'"+this.DropDownListOwnership.SelectedItem.Text +"' , "+

intEncode(System.Int32.Parse(this.RadioButtonList.SelectedItem.Value))+" , "+

intEncode(System.Int32.Parse(this.TextBoxCredit.Text.Replace(",","")))+" , '"+

this.TextBoxComments.Text+"'";

System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnection tmpConnection =

new System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnection(ConfigurationSettings.AppSettings["ConnectionStringICS"]

);

All About Batch Image Format Conversion

Writen by Mansi Aggarwal

If you already have photo editing software on your computer, you may want to know how to convert a number of images at a time to the format you desire. This feature, batch image format conversion, may be necessary to send out picture invitations/announcements to friends and family via email, or you may be preparing a business brochure and need to find a way to get the best quality graphics on each brochure that is sent out. Here are some companies/programs that offer this service that you may want to take a look at.

www.snowbound.com has a number of format conversion software programs that will work well with your computer and give you graphics with rich color and detail. The conversion tools support a number of formats and file types, including PDF, JPEG, and Microsoft Word. The programs also allow you to split multi-page files into single page files, and to convert PDFs, so the files are easy to see and read no matter how you download them. The program is best supported by Windows NT and Windows XP, which are on most computers. You can even provide the company with an evaluation of your Snowbound or Snowbatch software once you purchase the image conversion program.

If you're not sure which company you want to purchase your batch image conversion software from just yet, or if you want to know more about what the program should be able to do, you can check out www.batchimage.com. There are a number of companies that sell batch image format conversion software on the site, so you can click on the links for each programs to learn more about which one would be best for your computer. Programs include Batch Image Commander, which comes in three modules (command line, time-based controlled tray icon, and batch timer processing modules).

These features help you to accurately resize your images while retaining the resolution and quality, change the JPEG quality, and create captions for your photos. You may also want to check out Batch It!, Batch It! Pro, and Batch It! Ultra, which are Windows-based image processors that are easy to use. You can create HTML and thumbnail galleries using these programs, and can individually crop or rotate certain images in your photos. The Pro and Ultra versions of the program allow you to convert more files at a time, and can also give your graphics a better resolution. For more information on these products, or to find out about other companies that offer batch image format conversion, visit the site for more details.

Printing Return Addresse Images In Microsoft Word

Writen by Ernestine Hill

If you're a writer looking for ways to work more efficiently, you might like to know that you can print custom logos and book images with your return address. Since most of own use or have access to a color printer and a good many of us use Microsoft Word as our word processing application, we probably bypass having our stationery custom printed. Whether you design your own logos and book covers or have them done, at some point you will want to scan them and use them on your correspondence.

Here's a neat way to print an envelope with your logo or book cover as part of your return address, every time.

1. Open a blank document in Word
2. Choose Tools, Envelopes and Labels
3. When the Dialog box opens, click the Return Address entry box and type your address.
4. Click Add to Document.
5. When the envelope appears in your Word document, click where you want the logo or book cover image to go and choose Insert, Picture From File.
6. Locate your image file and double-click it to insert it into the document.
7. Size and place the image as you wish.
8. Align it properly with the return address text by right clicking the image then choose Format Picture.
9. When the Format Picture dialog box opens, click the Wrapping tab.
10. Select the type of wrapping that looks best for your image. As a starting point choose Square, under Horizontal Alignment, click Right.
11. Click OK to close the dialog box and continue.
12. Select the image and choose Insert, AutoText, New.
13. When the dialog box opens, type: EnvelopeExtra1
14. Print the envelope page only by using Ctrl-P, Current Page to check and adjust image size.
15. Press OK. From now on, the image will appear as part of your return address.

To remove, delete EnvelopeExtra from your AutoText entries.

While we're on the subject of printing envelopes, here are two quick ways to print multiple copies of the same envelope.

Any time you print an envelope, you can immediately select Edit, Repeat Envelopes And Labels to print another copy. Even faster is using F4. F4 repeats an action. Once the first envelope starts printing, press F4 and insert another envelope. You can repeat the F4 printing process as many times as you wish.

Corporate Erp Selection Microsoft Dynamics Gp

Writen by Andrew Karasev

Microsoft Dynamics GP is new name for Microsoft Great Plains Standard & Professional. Microsoft Dynamics GP will have its first release with Microsoft Dynamics GP 9.0. which would be the next version of Great Plains. Funny enough – Great Plains Software pioneered with Great Plains Dynamics in 1994 as the first Graphical ERP for Windows.

In our opinion, traditional approach when you select ERP/MRP system for large or mid-size company by functionality, database and hardware platform should be revised. We are convinced that new generation of Windows servers plus the reliability of relatively inexpensive database platform, such as Microsoft SQL Server, enable large corporation to decrease the cost of hardware, database and ERM software, plus have good internal support by hiring Microsoft certified professionals, available on the market in your area. In this small article we'll give you short review of what you should expect from Microsoft Business Solutions Great Plains, its implementation, customization, reporting, integration as well as web publishing and eCommerce or web ordering system for your existing customers.

• Hardware. PC Hardware and Windows server were considered as a solution for small and mid-size business, this opinion was wide spread in 1990th, when you needed to have scheduled rebooting of Windows server to deal with known issues, such as memory leaks, etc. Nowadays – Windows 2003 could be counted on.

• Database. Microsoft SQL Server 6.5, if you remember old good days required a lot of maintenance and support. When Microsoft introduced MS SQL Server 7.0 and later on 2000 – the problem of maintenance in our opinion was resolved and the database maintenance is now considered as part of data workflow side: application logic data fixes SQL queries, data feeding into SQL Server tables, data archiving and restoring.

• ERP System. In our opinion you should consider ERP as a platform for light or heavy customization to address your company unique business processes. The second approach would be purchasing the application, which would be very rich in its functionality: Oracle Financials, PeopleSoft, SAP. In this second case you "overpay" for the functionality you do not use and also pay for extended implementation and user training.

• Customization. You should consider balancing internal developers and external consultants. Internal development should be done by SQL programmers, web exposure – by VB.Net or C#.Net developers – you might need eConnect. Internal developers could also do light customization of Great Plains logic via Modifier with VBA. Consultants should help you with Great Plains business logic change, which requires Great Plains Dexterity programming and specification writing skills.

• Integration. In the past we saw a lot of Great Plains Integration Manager usage, today the trend is to deploy SQL scripts and stored procedures, including eConnect and its extensions (such as automatic transaction posting)

• User Training. In the case of large publicly traded company, you should probably dedicate internal Great Plains support person, who will be trained by consultant and then will provide training for end users. In this case you will avoid having consultant train the same common interface feature multiple time to different groups of users.

We encourage you to analyze your alternatives. You can always appeal to our help, give us a call: 1-866-528-0577 or 1-630-961-5918, help@albaspectrum.com

Online Employee Management Timeclock Solution

Writen by Pankaj Jain

Much is talked about various tools for employee's punching in their attendance. Once of the most talked about Employee's computer time clock is a web-based computer time clock called iClock. To access our computer time clock all you need is a computer and an Internet connection.

You can use our computer time clock from anywhere in the world. Computer time clock is web based and requiring only internet connection. Employees Can Be Locked Down To One or Multiple Computers. iClock is designed with the concept of 'no instructions required'. It is very intuitive and easy to use. You can use it from any computer or you can restrict to specifics IP's of your organizations. Our punch clock can run into your network only if internet connection is running all over your local network. You can adjust Web base Time Clock as per GMT.

There are various options offered by different providers. Normally you have two options:
• There is one option that allows punch times to display on timesheets after adjusting local PC time zone settings.
• Selecting other option will display punch times on timesheets without adjust to local PC time zone settings. This option should only be selected if you are importing punch in/out times from another system that already adjusts punch time to a specific time zone (such as EST)

Administrator of the system can edit time files if an employee forgets to punch IN or OUT. When administrator logs in to his account, he can view employee's regular timesheet, where he can add, remove or edit the punch data.
Time Clock System can keep track of vacation, sick and holiday hours for the employees. As an administrator and supervisor, you can view your employee punches and time off at any instance. You can use Punch Clock with magnetic cards or a barcode reader. At this moment out Punch Clock is well configured with Slot Reader and Biometric Hand Reader.

Benefits of Time Clock Software:

• Fast implementation, no Time Clock Software is required to install Time clock so implementation is quick.
• No maintenance or upgrades for the iEmployee Time Clock Software- no special hardware is required.
• High level of functionality.
• Accurate payroll data.
• Use of the Time Clock Software is easy- if you can surf the web you can use the solution

iEmployee.com is one company I know about providing Time Clock Software and total workforce management solutions. Why use Time Clock Software?

Microsoft Dynamics Gp Renovated Microsoft Business Solutions Great Plains Erp

Writen by Andrew Karasev

Microsoft Business Solutions Great Plains is now renamed into Microsoft Dynamics GP, as well as Microsoft Navision into Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Microsoft Axapta into Microsoft Dynamics AX, Microsoft Solomon into Microsoft Dynamics SL and Microsoft CRM into Microsoft Dynamcis CRM. Of course Microsoft has the plan to select the most marketing attractive name for its ERP products, however the other side of the renaming may be in the plan to move Project Green forward. At the final phase of Project Green Microsoft might drop GP, NAV, AX, SL and CRM extensions and make final version name to be simply Microsoft Dynamics. Interesting fact that Great Plains Software, which was the first candidate for Microsoft ERP software acquisition had Great Plains Dynamics brand, so probably Microsoft is plying retrospection card, in any case Microsoft technically owns GPS Dynamics brand anyway. In this small article we will give our retro view on Great Plains Dynamics customization, development and reporting.

1. Great Plains Dexterity – this is proprietary programming language and technology, designed back to earlier 1990th with the goal to build platform independent graphical accounting package – Great Plains Dynamics. Dexterity itself is written in C (following popular those days hope – that C will provide platform independence). You can install Dexterity from Great Plains 7.5 CD #2. Obviously it requires a lot of learning / training, but it allows your custom piece be seamlessly integrated with Great Plains interface. Nowadays, however – and this is a good thing – most of Great Plains installations are moved to SQL Server – so you can use Dexterity for custom forms drawing only and make the buttons run SQL stored procedures.

2. Modifier with VBA. Unfortunately you have to purchase this tool and get new registration keys. If you are familiar with VBA customization for Access or Excel – you have all the skills needed – then you just attach your scripts to the buttons and fields on GP forms (you can modify these forms with Modifier – or just tough them with it).

3. Continuum for VB/Delphi – we don't recommend this tool, because it is using Great Plains as OLE server – and you probably don't want to be trapped by old technology.

4. Crystal Reports. Great Plains has its own ReportWriter, but its functionality is limited – you can't do cross modules reports (you can't link Sales and Purchasing tables in one report, for example). So – you use Crystal. The GP tables structure is in Tools->Resource Description->Tables … and you are in control. Feel free to create views and stored procs directly in the companies databases – it doesn't hurt the Dexterity engine

5. Direct web publishing from Great Plains SQL databases, using Visual Studio.net and your language of choice (VB.Net, C#, J#, etc). Plus you probably want to have several SQL stored procs.

6. eConnect – this tool is type of SDK with VB.net samples. It allows you to feed data into Great Plains and was primarily created for eCommerce developers.

7. Integration Manager – it is end-user tool for importing to GP, however if end-user meets some challenges in the integration – you as a developer can help with VBA scripts. IM validates 100% of business logic and uses hidden GP forms – so it maybe slow for big on-going integrations, when you have thousands records per day – in this case you rescue to eConnect or directly to SQL store procedures.

8. SQL queries - as a developer you have unlimited potential in using SQL queries, because the database in MS SQL Server. Be careful, it is kind of surgery - you can easily delete all your customers, by executing: DELETE RM00101 Happy customizing! if you want us to do the job - give us a call 1-866-528-0577! help@albaspectrum.com

Domain Registration Tips

What should I consider when choosing my domain name?

• Any .com extension can be used. To protect your online identity first and foremost you should register. If it is not available you may wish to register an abbreviation of your trading name, add a prefix or a suffix, or include a hyphen (-). You may also wish to consider registering additional domain names that reflect your brands, products, services, venue, events, activities, professions, and/or trademarks. If you have a brand name that is commonly misspelt it is recommended that you also register the misspelling as a domain name and redirect it to your main website.

• .com .com domain names may be registered by any individual or organisation anywhere in the world as they are unrestricted. Therefore, should your preferred domain name be available in the .com domain name space it would be wise to secure it as soon as practicable while it is still available.

• Should I register .com or .com.au ?

The .com domain name extension, being one of the original domain name extensions, gives the impression that your business has been around for a while and has a well established presence on the web. It is a matter of personal choice depending on what you wish to achieve.

Understanding The Importance Of Registry

Writen by A Singh

Before trying to understand how the registry works and how it is constructed let us understand what a registry is and how it slows down a system if it is not regularly cleaned by registry cleaner software.

The registry is the central database of the operating system and stores all the information that the computer needs to run. This information includes the hardware information of the computer, the user information such as which user is allowed to do what on the computer, and all the reference data about the software that is installed on the system. The operating system of the computer constantly refers to this registry, which has to scan through its files and keys to locate the information and feed it back to the operating system. If this list in the registry keeps on growing it will take longer to locate the information and so take longer to load programs in effect it will slow down the system drastically if the registry is too large. The registry needs to be compressed and cleaned with windows registry cleaner software from time to time to keep the system running smoothly.

Let us take an example of how the registry will be delayed if it is filled with useless data. When you click on the 'start' button windows immediately refers to the registry key labeled HKCUMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionPolicies Keys and determines what the current user is allowed to do. The registry knows this from its records by referring to the associated entries when the current user logged on with a username and password. While the computer is doing this verification you will have clicked on the 'programs' link and the HKCUMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionPolicies Keys are referred to to determine how the operating system should react. When you click on a program you are clicking on a 'link', which is actually a shortcut to the program.

When you click on the link Windows refers to the HKLMSoftwareClasses Key for the extension ".lnk" which reads "lnkfile". Windows then looks for HKLMSoftwareClasseslnkfile which read "ShortCut" and it sees "NeverShowEx" = "" which means 'do not display file extension for this type of file extension'. Windows then looks to see what SubKeys are there and it finds a CLSID SubKey which points to "{00021401-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}". By the look of the Classid you will understand how many classid's there are in the registry. The registry has to go through all these serially. Here is where the time is consumed and the system is slowed. Each time you download something or refer to the internet the registry is updated and it grows.

It is important to constantly clean the registry of these redundant entries by using a free windows XP registry cleaner. There are many free pc registry cleaners and they all do a good job cleaning the registry. So download one today and tune your registry to make it more efficient and your system faster.

Author is admin and technical expert associated with development of computer security and performance enhancing software like Registry Cleaner, Window Cleaner, Anti Spam Filter etc. More information can be found at http://www.pcmantra.com To know about the Registry Cleaner visit at http://www.pcmantra.com/registry-cleaner.htm.

Advantages Of Crm

Writen by Casey Gollan

There are several benefits attached with a properly managed and maintained CRM system, which has made it the buzzword in the business community.

In any business, it helps the organisation in lots of ways, both in terms of delivery more to the customers and also in terms of gaining more from them.

Using CRM, a business can:

Provide Better Customer Service

CRM systems give businesses many strategic advantages such as the ability to personalize relationships with customers regardless of which employee is service them.

Using CRM, a repository can be maintained on customer profiles, thereby treating each client as an individual and not as a group. This way, every employee can be better informed about each customer's specific needs and transaction profile.

CRM also helps the organisation to easily adjust the level of service to reflect the customer's importance or status.

Better customer service through improved responsiveness and understanding helps in building customer loyalty and decreases customer agitation. It also helps the company in getting continuous feedbacks from the customers on the product they have bought.

A good electronic company would always like to follow-up with its customers on the items they have bought, so as to rectify the problem (if any) even before it gets logged as a complaint.

Increase Customer Revenues

Using CRM data, marketing campaigns can be co-ordinated more effectively by ensuring that promotions do not target customers who have already purchased that particular products.

It also ensures higher customer retention by introducing loyalty programs. A business would never like to see a product to a customer who has just bought it recently.

Discover New Customers

CRM systems help the organisation in identifying potential customers. By keeping a track of the profiles of their existing clientele, the business can easily come up with a strategy to determine the kind of people they should target such that it returns them maximum clientage.

For example, if several students in a university sign up for a particular mobile service provider, the business can come up with a strategy to target rest of the community in the university.

"Cross Sell" and "Up Sell" Products More Effectively

CRM systems facilitate cross-selling (offering customers complimentary products based on their previous purchases) and up-selling (offering customers premium products in the same category).

It helps them to gain a better understanding of customers and anticipate their purchases (e.g. someone who purchases grass seed in the spring will need fertilizer later in the season).

Help Sales Staff Close Deals Faster

CRM helps the businesses in closing deals faster, through quicker and more efficient responses to customer leads and customer information. The turnaround time has decreased drastically for organisations that have been able to implement CRM systems effectively.

Make Call Centers More Efficient

With each employee having access to customer details and order histories, targeting clients becomes easier.

CRM helps the organisation's workforce in knowing how to deal with each individual customer depending upon the customer's archives available through CRM. The information can be accessed instantly from anywhere within the company.

Simplify Marketing And Sales Processes

CRM helps in developing better communication channels. Interactive Voice Response System, web sites, etc. have made life easy both for the organisation and also for its sales representatives.

It allows the business to give its customers the option of choosing how they want to communication with the business.

Appointment Calendar Software 4 Critical Features Part 3

Writen by Olan Butler

Effective appointment calendar software should have the ability to create multiple categories, display a monthly view, create reminders and provide recurrence capability. In this article series I will go in-depth into the above features and show the valuable benefits of each one. In this article the focus is the reminder.

One of the most overlooked capabilities of a reminder program is the ability to run outside of the appointment calendar software. In other words, when the appointment calendar program is not running, the reminder program should still look for events and respond to them.

Most of the time we think of reminders in only one dimension: the text reminder. However, an audio reminder can add flexibility and assurance to you that if you want to have a more mobile posture, you can. For example, a solid technique for a salesperson is to move around while on the phone. With audio reminders, you don't have to be in a mode of split focus between your call and the reminders that may be on the screen. You know when you have a reminder because it will speak to you. One point of clarification: I am not just talking about a beeping reminder. I am talking about a full voice reminder that can express the meaning of the reminder to you.

In closing, two powerful features of a good reminder program is the ability to run outside of the appointment calendar software and the ability to not only give text message but also to give audible messages with the option of full voice messages. In my next and final article of this series I will delve in the functionality of a good recurrence feature.

Enterprise Asset Management Systems

Writen by Josh Riverside

Enterprise asset management (EAM) systems are fully integrated and customized to the requirements of businesses. An EAM system has four significant support components: software, business processes, users and operating systems.

Software is at the core of EAM systems. It can be tailored to your organization's unique data requirements and business processes. It has the capacity to operate on multiple platforms and heterogeneous operating systems. It is easy to implement and spreads quickly across your network. It works without disrupting other existing activities.

The common business processes include strategic planning, management control and operational control. The EAM systems are greatly advantageous in planning for decision-making procedures and preparing to solve potential problems.

Management of resources is the main objective of EAM, for an effective management leads to effective operations. Constant changes in processes may affect EAM systems' ability to adapt, so the systems need yearly evaluations and refurbishment.

EAM systems are useful for management and operational controls, and employees at all levels of planning, management, and operations are also users of the systems.

Implementing EAM systems may entail modifying some of your business processes and may serve as an additional workload to your employees. This may result in resistance to new systems and processes that can be managed through training and orientation.

EAM systems run on various operating systems, such as Windows 98/NT/2000, Sun Solaris, Linux, Oracle, MS SQL, DB2, Informix and Sybase. Running EAM systems require security, stability and standards.

EAM systems begin with an assessment of needs, defining expectations, planning and implementation. It ends with checking actual performance against objectives, along with necessary improvements.

The success or failure of an EAM project lies on the four components of EAM systems. These vital components have to interact with each other toward achieving a common goal -- to improve your organization's business processes.

Multinational Corporation Erp Implementation Microsoft Business Solutions Great Plains

If you look back to the history, you will see that ERP for large publicly traded company had to be built upon very reliable hardware (more likely non-Intel hardware: mainframe, Sun sparc, etc.), powerful database platform: Oracle, DB2, Ingress, Sybase and reliable OS: UNIX. 10 years ago Microsoft had Windows NT first tries, plus Windows 95 was kind of revolution, but not the one to stake on for corporate users. Nowadays hardware (from Intel side), Windows 2003 Server Enterprise Edition, WindowsXP Pro, and Microsoft SQL Server could be considered reasonably reliable plus it is certainly easier to support these products, because of the large pool of Microsoft-oriented IT professionals available Worldwide. Microsoft Business Solutions offers several lines of ERP systems: Microsoft Great Plains, Microsoft Navision, Solomon, Axapta. We don't want to state here that in the future Microsoft will be only ERP systems provider, but it certainly is and will be one of the major players on the ERP/MRP market. In this small article we'll consider the ways to implement large corporation required features in Microsoft Great Plains.

• GL Consolidation. If you do business exclusively in the USA – you probably do not need this, however if you have to operate in the multicurrency and under multiple countries regulations – you need this feature. European ERPs of late 1990th had this GL consolidation as separate module. Microsoft Great Plains doesn't have this feature out of the box, and you have to implement it via MS SQL Server Data Transformation package, Stored Procedure or Great Plains Dexterity customization. The alternative approach is to use Enterprise Reporting or FRx with multicurrency to provide consolidated reporting

• Internal Audit reports. Internal Auditor should be provided with reliable random selection of documents to review. Great Plains is MS SQL Server based application and if you base your Crystal Report on the stored procedure in SQL Server – you can easily get random selection

• Intercompanies Transactions. This is probably complicated with multicurrency – but Great Plains has the module to address this issue

• Customer/Vendor Consolidation. You might deal through agents on your local or regional markets and based on the results you pay the agent or subtract from it. This feature is covered in Customer/Vendor Consolidation module

• Multiple languages support. Great Plains had support to all the major languages in version 6.0. When Microsoft acquired Navision Software – it staked on Navision in continental Europe and all the emerging markets (Russia, East Europe, Brazil, China). The way you implement local language or Unicode characters support – you translate several screens for GP local users and extend Dexterity with Unicode enabling software utility.

Microsoft Dynamics Gp Implementation Pacific And Hawaii Overview For It

Writen by Andrew Karasev

Microsoft Dynamics GP is new name for Microsoft Great Plains. As Project Green is progressing, Microsoft Business Solutions or whatever is temporary name for Business Systems subdivision, renamed Project Green into Microsoft Dynamics. Now Microsoft Great Plains, Microsoft Navision, Microsoft Axapta, Microsoft Solomon and Microsoft CRM are renamed into Microsoft Dynamics GP, Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Microsoft Dynamics AX, Microsoft Dynamics SL and Microsoft Dynamics CRM respectively. We have published articles, devoted to Microsoft Dynamics in Europe, Brazil, Russia, Australia and New Zealand and now we would like to share our experience and analytics on Microsoft Dynamics GP & CRM implementation, customization, reporting for the clientele in Pacific region.

• Great Plains History. Regarding Pacific region Great Plains Software had plans and expansion campaign back in 1990th and even 1980th. Our client in Republic of Palau had ancient Great Plains Accounting implemented. The support was initially provided by D&T, but when Microsoft acquired Great Plains Software D&T had to abandon Great Plains implementation & support practice – we saw the examples in Pacific as well as in Bermuda. Later on Microsoft realized that Great Plains Dexterity has certain limitations, especially when we are talking about tax engine and languages localization – it doesn't support Unicode and Dexterity design was done back in 1992-1994, as a result it is not object oriented product

• American English & US$. This is official business language in most of the countries in Pacific. Plus taxation is aligned with American legislation in majority of the cases. Substantial strata of countries use US Dollar as official currency. All these facts facilitate Microsoft Dynamics GP/Great Plains as efficient ERP/MRP/Accounting solution

• Remote Support. Comparing to US Business Metros, such as New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco or Houston, where clients "require" face-to-face meetings and local support – in the Pacific it is really impossible to host local consultant on the island where only one or two small clients are located. Plus – serving from the USA is kind of time anti phase and probably too expensive. The best servicing location is Philippines, where Great Plains Software had its third party Project Accounting ISV partner – Match Data, as the result a large pool of Philippines based Microsoft Dynamics GP consultants and Microsoft Dexterity developers is available

• Software Sales. With an exception of Hawaii – the rest of pacific rim should be sold from Microsoft Business Solutions in Singapore. This fact places restrictions on the ability of US based Microsoft Business Solutions VARs/Partners to serve remote clientele in the region

• Legacy Products. The life in the Pacific Rim countries is kind of traditional and comfortable. This means that there is no need to replace good and working computer ERP systems with the hectic technology progress. The examples could be – the commitment to IBM Lotus Notes Domino, Pervasive SQL/ Btrive/Ctree/IBM Unidata/Ingress platforms. Microsoft .Net Business Portal might be integration solution together with Sharepoint, but legacy system required multiple connectors to enable lookup and integration

• Oracle/SAP. Contrary to Microsoft Oracle and SAP have long presence history in the Pacific Rim market. Oracle Financials or SAP R/3 mySAP / SAP Business One

• eCommerce – is actual for the clients from Hawaii and Puerto Rico. Microsoft eOrder will be phased out with GP version 9.0. You should be ready to invest some development money into eConnect-based redesign. In some cases, such as Great Plains SOP allocation and posting you will have to rescue to Great Plains stored procedures.

Free Pdf Publishing Software

Writen by Ed Zivkovic

In a previous article, I wrote about OpenOffice which an excellent suite of Free Office software which is in the Public Domain.

What I did not know is that the Writer (word processing) program creates PDF files too.

I have uninstalled MS Word because OpenOffice opens all my old Word Documents and I like OpenOffice better than MS Word.

How To Create a PDF File for Free

After OpenOffice is installed, open any Word document or create a new document with the OpenOffice Word processor.

Now simply click the PDf creator button located on the Function Bar.

Another way to do this is to select Export As pdf from the File Menu.

That's all there is to it.

Generate PDF for Free or pay $95

The created PDF document is a regular PDF file except it has no bells and whistles. This is a bare bones PDF Creator.

For example, hyperlinks do not work within the PDF file and I have not figured out how to create the handy navigation menu. For this you will need to buy the full version PDF Writer from Adobe.

But what the hell, I have seen DOC to PDF converters selling for as much as $95 and they too have the same limitations as OpenOffice.

In my opinion, OpenOffice has the best Office software and now with this latest version, the best Free PDF creation software too.

Medical Practice Software

Writen by Marcus Peterson

Medical practice software programs offer several benefits to medical professionals as well as the people they treat. These benefits include more precise diagnoses and quicker treatment decisions.

Medical practice software programs are of greater use to those who are starting their medical careers. Medical residents can use the software, particularly the ones that are compatible with handheld computing devices, to study their field and to assist their patients. The following are some of the better medical practice software programs available in the market.

Bakerman's ABC's of Interpretive Laboratory Data was a best selling book on laboratory work for more than twenty years. Today, medical practitioners can expediently access that information on portable computing devices. This way, the medical professional can access the data anywhere, and the information is just a press of a button away. Correctly deducing lab results is the number one step in diagnosis and treatment. This software makes that task a lot simpler and the process much faster. The patient gets better care as a result.

Emergency care practitioners would be more efficient if they have quick access to information that could help their patients. Those working with people afflicted by psychiatric problems, such as depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder et al sometimes require instantaneous solutions to their question, so as to treat their patients more efficiently. The Washington Manual Psychiatry Survival Guide helps in this regard. This software guide is compatible with both portable Windows-based computing devices and palmtops. It can assist doctors in myriad ways, like learning the appropriate ways of getting information from their patients, getting a better diagnosis based on behavior and symptoms and keeping details of the sessions with their patients.

Medical Software provides detailed information on Medical Software, Medical Billing Software, Medical Practice Software, Medical Record Software and more. Medical Software is affiliated with Chiropractic Office Software.
